The "Come Play" Thread

Post by SouthernSteel »

Hello all,

As a long time follower of this game series, I thought I would try a thread here for people to post when they get online and want to play MP with others.

Anyhow, if you have some free time and want to log on and play, post a reply here or stop by and check this thread to see who's on and looking to play B) With any luck this might become the place to check for players looking for games. :cheer:

I currently do not have a mic so ventrilo is out for me, but I am in the process of buying the game as we speak, and will be online to be whupped up on shortly. If anyone is sitting out there bored, get on and let's have a go!

Edit: currently having lots of technicaly problems - I am online, but alas, unable to play for the time being :(

Welcome to the club.
You have a good idea. I'm not going to be much use to the 21st century league, so I will look and post here when I have time for scrum.

Good luck,

Tac (Kemper in the lobby) boy this is getting confusing.

Why no use to the league? I think my problem centers around the port issues (at least for now) but I am wary of trying to set a static IP and do port forwarding on the network here as to risk messing something up.

I was wanting to try out a MP game. Got into the lounge last night about 10:30 or 11. Not any activity. When is the best time? What is the best way to get a game going?

One thing you can do is use the Battle HQ client to connect to the game lobby without turning on the game. Then when people are there and want to play you can start up the game at that time.

Also stay on ventrilo, then when people start a game on there you can communicate easily. I was away for a bit when you tried to talk to me. There aren't always people wanting to play SOWGB (for instance, right now), but when there are its good to be in ventrilo and in the chat lobby to know what's going on.

If everyone doesn't stay in these places when they want to play, no one will know that there are others who do want to play.

I'll be on tonight. Not testing for a change, but actually playing and enjoying the game. :)

Not exactly sure what time but no later than 9PM Eastern.

MIght be able to get on then, Powell. If so, I'll look for you.
