After that lineup... this was the only thing I could think of that would not fit in. If this doesn't crack you up and give you goosebumps at the same time...well... I bet it does.

Re:The NSD Music Place
Hi guys,
Here are some of the concerts I went to in the 70's at Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum, Rooselvelt Stadium, Shea Stadium & Carnagie Hall :
Black Sabbath (2 times)
Led Zeppelin (2 times)
Deep Purple
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Yes (2 times)
The Who
Doobie Brothers
Elton John (2 times)
Boston
Jethro Tull
Robin Trower
Chicago
Sly & the Family Stone
Humble Pie
The Good Rats
The loudest of the groups was Deep Purple maybe because I was in the 12th row from the stage at MSG. For the next week, all I kept hearing over & over again was "Highway Star" B)
Emerson, Lake & Palmer was at MSG during the Christmas Holiday. In the middle of the concert, they started playing "Silent Night, Holy Night" and they had confetti falling from the ceiling as if it was snowing ....Awesome !!! Then they go right into "Karn Evil 9" Whoa !!!!!!!
Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath both times at the Garden, what can you say !!!, "Stairway to Heaven", "IronMan" and everything in between :cheer: :cheer:
Jethro Tull was at Shea Stadium. Close by is LaGuardia Airport & many takeoffs seem to be right overhead at Shea. To this day, I believe the following was planned by Ian Anderson. After Robin Trower opened up, Jethro Tull was supposed to start at 8pm. By 8:15, still nothing and everyone is now getting antsy. All of a sudden, it sounded like a Jumbo jet was about 100 feet over our heads, so instinct, everyone looks up to see. When you looked back at the stage, Jethro Tull was standing there and and starts playing !!!!
The Who at the Garden, when they played " We Don't Get Fooled Again ", was Tremendous, awesome. It seemed the song was playing for about 40 minutes long.
Elton John, "Yellow Brick Road" tour at the Garden. The piano is draped with a purple sheet, Elton comes out & starts with "Funeral for a Friend" and "Love Lies Bleeding"
I was very lucky as my best friend worked at a music store and knew when the concerts were going to be. We would go to Ticketron to get the tickets.
There was so much more I am forgetting about, probably due to the same birthday brownies that Sarge got on his birthday
What a Blast and there are bands I wish I did see in concerts, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Queen,Rolling Stones,Eagles, etc !!!

LIBERACE!!! and you had the audacity to question White Snake 'n Def Leopard

OK, i'll admit it, i once seen Tony Bennett perform live but my excuse, i was in the audience for an old old Johnny Carson Tonight Show taping of which Tony Bennett was a geust.
Anyone here been to Woodstock? Planned to go but at the last minute changed plans:(
My only claim to anykind of historical musically-related fame is i was at Steve Dahl's 'Disco Demolitian' stunt before the 2nd half of a double header White Sox game. The stadium was all boozed and smoked up and spontaneously went wild after that pile of Disco Records were blown up. They tore up the field, started bon fires on the field, hippies diving over the flames, Harry Carry ad nauseum on the loud speaker "Holy Smokes".
Needless to say, the White Sox had to forfeit the second game. :S
Some i can remember that i've seen live in concert! ('smoky' concerts ya know!)
Sly (they DID show up)
Deep Purple (lost some hearing outta that one)
Led Zepplin (Fantastic!)
Creenance Clearwater (Got some great stories from that one!)
Doobies (The best though i got my pocket knife confiscated!)
Mountian
Wilderness Road
Muddy Waters
Chamberlain and JC you all reminded me of some old favorite bands i kinda forgot about:
humble pie
boston
The Who
Kansas
Van Halen
Jethro Tull
The Stones
Others suddenly remembered:
.38 Special
Police
Molly Hatchet
Beatles of course
Yardbirds
Kinks
Young Rascals
Lovin Spoonful
Some of the old Du-Wop groups (ok, i'm an old fart!)

Oh yeah Chamberlain!! I am a bona-fide DeadHead!
:) I followed the Dead from the summer of '84 to the spring of '87 almost non-stop.
60 times is nothing though........I have some old friends that saw them between 200 and 400 times!
I used to have 1200 hours of the Dead on tape......all concerts......the ex made sure I lost those......but now there is a web site that has many of those shows available for download and I have been busy downloading and burning to CD many of them to rebuild my collection.

Hey!......tell you what......Liberace was quite the showman......and an unbelievable pianist.
Funny you mentioned Humble Pie........that's the band Peter Frampton got his start in. I wonder how many people know that Vince Gill got his start as a member of Pure Prairie League?
