Is this a Pathing Bug?

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Is this a Pathing Bug?

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

Playing a sandbox game (Mac Map)

I just had to purchase an image editor just to do this.

I'm just going to let others do this.

Anyway... http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... 2ad864.jpg[/img_size]

So whats the issue? I assume you had a brigade Use Roads, and they took a long way to get there?

Greetings, and Salutations .

I think that might be his point. Why take the long way around.
William Howard Russell-
Little did I conceive of the greatness of the defeat (at Bull Run), the magnitude of the disaster which it had entailed upon the United States. So short-lived has been the American Union, that men who saw it rise may live to see it fall.

Yeah, it's hard to tell exactly what's going on though without actually trying out the save. I'll try it out later this evening and report back.

Hi little Powell.

My troops are doing a road march to the location before I decide on my final approach.

I just couldn't understand why it would choose to walk around to the left instead of walking from the road directly to my destination shown in the picture.

Here is my Savegame. [file name=Sandbox_OOB.rar size=99826]http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... ox_OOB.rar[/file]

Ok checked out the save. I do see the issue, but it's pretty minor. It could always be improved a little though. If you click a couple hundred yards forward, the brigade will cut across instead of going all the way around. Norb is working on improving the courier pathing, and this will probably improve the pathing for troops as well.
