OBILIQUE Left and OBILIQUE right

Post by BOSTON »

On page 78 of the manual, bottom icons, [Obilique Left/Oblique Right] States; Use these two buttons to order the selected regiment to move forward at an angle without wheeling, and thus avoid presenting it's flank to the enemy.
This is an inquiry as to how many members are using the above command buttons. If nobody is using them, I would question what could be put in place of those buttons? It all depends on the interest of members of this forum. Comments would be appreciated.

The Lateral Movement, I find comes in pretty handy, been using it more and more often. It can get ugly when tapping it more than once, while on double quick, but most of the time I get favorable results, it's a neat movement. ;)

Yes, ideally, the troops using both moves should NOT wheel.

I use the lateral movement very often, not so much the oblique movement... but with more practice I might come to use it more.

Have used the Obilique movement on rear regs behind an engaged regs to bring more fire power to bear on a target or to manuver in front of an engaged reg so that the engaged reg can retire.
