Second Beta Patch v1.01

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Hi, I found a cure for my own personal courier message problem-I was hitting 1 on my keyboard at the start of the game for TC "All On". I started a sandbox game earlier and it's now fine. Don't know if this is a legit bug on the 1 command...I was also having problems moving Brigades of troops-no destination points were coming up when I clicked on the battlefield-that has cleared up as well.

Hi - I have been playing this game for a while in the Sandbox, and have not had any problems. I downloaded this patch yesterday, and have been having a lot of problems getting it to work in sandbox. Upon getting to the load screen after you've made your unit/map selections etc, it drops you into the game. I cannot move anywhere on the map, nor can I order any units to do anything. I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

I had a saved game from a couple weeks ago I was playinng, so I loaded that up (it was also a sandbox game) and it works perfectly fine. But I cannot start any new games in sandbox which I can do anything. Anyone else having this problem? I'm going to try to re-install the patch - in the event it doesn't work - is there a way to uninstall the patch entirely? Or must I uninstall/reinstall the entire game?

Thanks!

Oh! Did this patch correct the OOB for the Union 5th Corps, 3rd Division? McCandless is 1st Brigade - and Fisher is 3rd Brigade. Not sure if that made it into this patch. Thanks anyway!

...I've re-applied the patch - problem is not resolved. Also - this is effecting the Gettysburg scenarios as well... any suggestions?

Thanks!

Download the patch again and reapply. There have been cases of bad downloads.

Thanks for your reply. I decided to uninstall the game and reinstall it. I also did a fresh download of the patch - this worked. However, two problems seem to have evolved. 1) Sound of troops/artillery marching/fighting - is gone. I can hear wind and trees blowing etc - but nothing else. 2) Upon saving a game in mid play, and exiting - it doesn't save correctly. If you load the game back up, it will put you back at the very beginning of the scenario, rather than when the game was saved half way through. This is after I've applied the second beta patch v1.01 - before this patch I had no problems.

P,

The sound issue is ongoing. Norb, et. al, are pulling their collective hair out trying to get it fixed. They'll get it. They always do. That seems to be the only real bug left.

Thanks Jack! I can deal with it! I just thought it might be an issue with the patch since it didn't occur until I installed it. I appreciate everyones help!

We have not had any cases of the issues that you describe. Could you please get one of your bad saved games and zip it and email it to sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com. I would appreciate a chance to take a look at it and see what it's doing to you. These are odd problems and we have not encountered them before so it would be good to try and track them down.
