To all DIAL-UP SOWGB people out there!

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

Does anyone else out there have dial-up out there besides me that would like to play an online game? Please let me know, maybe it will work better than we think.

Trying to get the wife interested, but she's more into playing Hoyle card games, and Luxor. (groan)

Let me know if your interested, and have a dial-up connection.

Sorry, but SOWGB won't work over dial-up.

As long as the connection is standard ip connection, it might work. We do not support modems in the code, but I think that is all hidden from apps and handled by windows. So I think that it's worth giving it a shot. I mean windows connects through the modem to the net, after that the program may work fine. It would be nice to know.

Hi Guys...

Well, I guess I must be the only one who has dial-up. Anyway, if I do find someone out there who does have dial-up, I'll let you know if it works or not. To tell you the truth I doubt it would work because of the amount of data that needs to be transferred would just be too high, and the poor old modem would choke to death.

Anyway, thanks for the help guys, it's well appreciated.

Cheers..
