Re:Crash report
OMG!
Yelling at you? LOL!!!!!! I grovel at your feet, oh exalted members of the code-writing team. I can barely change the OOBs, much less do anything else.....I'm just thrilled beyond measure this game exists in ANY form, especially the MP part.

Re:Crash report
Ok now this makes me pretty damn mad.
The game ran for pretty much all of yesterday, but guess what. My runtime error is back! Life is a bitch guys... Yes, I tried running it with the resident shield disabled. I'll reinstall and see if I get anything else, but does anyone have anyanswers as to why this thing keeps happening?

Oh, and when I try to deactivate my game after as well as uninstall, I get the same runtime error on my screen. Obviously this runtime error is rather fond of me. But seriously this is getting on my nerves.
Re:Crash report
There is no other answer except that some virus protection installed on your system is messing with the game. Nothing else fits the description of the problems that you are having. There is nothing in our power to do about this, if something on your system is preventing the game from running, we have no options. If something on your system deletes our files, we have no options. All of the options are in your hands, you have to find out all the virus software you have and how to disable it. We cannot do anything on our end. There have been a handful of people with similar problems as your own and every time it came down to them doing the research, finding the software and disabling it or uninstalling it.
The reason it was working and now is not working is that it ran a scan, found our dll, marked it bad, and now will not allow it to run. If you reinstall, it may clear up the problem for a little while, until the next scan is run.

Norb/Team and Zeno,
Yes, it is probably the AVS. When I downloaded the new patch last night, the AVS popped up a screen about tne patch needing my attention. I had to open the AVS and indicate to let it thru. Somewhere in your AVS there is a place to allow you to do this.
Note - Turn off your Window Firewall. If your ABS is running correctly, you should not need it and the Windows Firewall will create conflicts about what can or cannot get thru. Hope that helps.

Re:Crash report
Guys, I just checked AVG and my Firewall. Both already have Scourge of War as an exception and there is no other program that could possibly be blocking it. I use no other security. I have no idea what the hell is happening but it's not any firewall obviously.

Go into your AVG Advanced settings, click PUP Exceptions. Select 'add exception' and navigate: SOWGB/Work/SCPWIN32.dll. Make this file an exception.
And, make sure your Resident Shield is disabled. Some folks don't do this, I find it necessary, and you probably need to also.

Ah wait. I realized I didn't make an exception in my resident shield. It's done now... Except... I think I might have accidently nullified my code again  Uuuummm. So can ya guys activate it again by any chance? :whistle:zenozigaganbottom wrote:Try this...Guys, I just checked AVG and my Firewall. Re:Crash report
Just re-installing the game/patch to the same folder should fix it.
