Gun Fire Sounds - Version 1.5
Name: Musket & Artillery Fire Sounds
Version 1.5
Created by: Matt Clyburn "Little Powell"
These sounds replace the stock musket fire and artillery sounds.
Update 12/16/12: - Musket fire sounds have been completely redone. They were recorded from reenactment footage and other sources for a more lifelike sound. You will hear roughly 400 muskets firing from each regiment. The artillery ground and air explosions also include a hissing or screeching incoming shell sound.
Update 7/10/11: Before these were just musket fire, but now I have turned it into a full conversion mod that converts musket fire sounds and the artillery fire sounds. It includes a new louder, boomier canister sound.
To install as a mod:
Just unzip the folder to \NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\Mods
Then you will see it in your modifications menu in the game. Enable it, and you're good to go.
Hope you enjoy!
"But out of that silence rose new sounds more appalling still; a strange ventriloquism, of which you could not locate the source, a smothered moan, as if a thousand discords were flowing together into a key-note weird, unearthly, terrible to hear and bear, yet startling with its nearness" - Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain

You can do what Bragg suggested, or you can install them as you would a mod (that way your not overwriting the stock files).

Thanks, glad you like. I knew they were ready for release when I plugged my PC into my living room surround sound system. They sound pretty cool like that or on a good pair of headphones.Matt,

Re:Replacement Musket Fire Sounds Mod
Does this MOD work with the original scenarios or just the user created ones?

It will not work with the original scenario's (unless you play the mod versions). But if you want them in the original scenario's, you can always copy them over to your Sound Folder and overwrite the stock sounds. Make sure you back up the old one's encase you want to revert back to them.Does this MOD work with the original scenarios or just the user created ones?
