Battle Line movements!

Post by Cleaburn »

This is the only thing that bugs me about the game is the strange movements of the battle lines the abrupt line shifts, the battle lines turning backwards in face of enemy the lines mixing together. Can or will this ever be corrected, I hope so this game would even be more awesome if these solutions were found in my humble observation. ;)

Seems to me your Junior Officers are not the sharpest bayonets in the stack.

Seriously though, I've noticed the same thing, taking control of the division's brigades worked for me.

Hey Cleaburn - how's it goin' old pal?

I get those symptoms mostly when I point and click movement orders to an individual regiment, even with its' brigade commander TC'd. Most amusing is when a regiment does the twirling Dirvish Dance. :silly:

Most frustrating is when I want a regiment to advance a few yards (5 to 10) to just cross the 160 yard threshold, I often have to click way out front in order to force my cursor to click a spot dead ahead - damn cursor wants to click to one side. When the regiment gets 5 to 10 yards forward and I click halt; then it marches back to its starting position. I chalk these weird movements up to friendly regiments being too close.

Well, Doing ok ,yeah it just gets frustrating when your in the middle of a crtical moment in the battle and your key regiment pulls one of these crazy moves and cost you the moment! I wonder what is causing this behavior at times? Whats up with you.
