Activating the Blue_Grey Mod version 01

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Activating the Blue_Grey Mod version 01

Post by kaplan71 »

Hi there --

I downloaded the blue_grey mod, and after extracting the folders from the rar file, I put them in the Mod folder. Once that was done, I started the game, and under the modifications screen I selected the Graphics option.

When played the first scenario, I took a closer look at the Union and Confederate uniforms, and I did not see any apparent changes in them. Are there any additional steps I need to take to see the full effects of this mod? Thanks.

kaplan71 – you may be doing this exact thing, only wording it different!

But, that Mod – seems to cause some problems, so try this one below.

Just Copy and Paste the below link, the link is sort of slow, and you will have to wait approximately 44 seconds before the download begins.

rapidshare.com/files/421093772/Grey_Mod4.rar.html

Image

1) Modifications Screen – Click that
2) Select Grey Mod4 – it will turn yellow and a block should appear
3) Click Increase priority – until the mod moves to the top of screen
4) Click the Check Mark – for the use selected mod .

BTW - I'm not completely sure if this will work with a scenario, one of the Team-Members will have to respond to that!

Davanci would you consider adding union graphics 10 and 11 to grey mod 4 . I have tryed but when I try keep getting errors when loading especially if I change the unit global file to any graphic from tc2m.

Well, I’m sort of a selfish type modder, which means that I can only mod things that I’m interested in.

With that being said, I really do hate those red uniforms, and those are probably the first uniforms that I would change into something else.

So, basically – I would never take the time to convert from the old game into this game!

Jumping Topic – Hey how much memory do you have on your computer?

Also –how many different uniforms that you running between the two armies?

Hey it was Just a thought, understand your point anyway. I have A 64 amd athalon compressor 8 gb of ram and soon will have 16....I play mostly brigade level battles and divison battles. I like to micro manage so I use take command exclusively do not care for the courier feature. Use all the grey mod 4 setup plus sow stock graphics.

Cleaburn – Yes, that is a very nice set-up you have.

I have a Quad 2.4 \ 3GB Ram \ 32 Bit \ Vista System – I can run ten confederate uniforms plus five, maybe six union – but have to bring down the OOB – to roughly 18,000 troops per army.

Basically, around nine brigades per army, and I micro manage all of them, but I do like the new courier system.
