I've received a number of error reports which is great, they are extremely helpful in determining what the problem is and in fixing it.
It would be nice if you could put your name in the 'additional info' page so if the problem is something you're doing wrong I can let you know. Of course I'll eventually get around to putting in error messages for each of these so you can see what's wrong without having to send an error report.
Someone sent this:
My first attempt to try the GCM launcher
Using Windows XP
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
I just switched to v2.0.50727 of .NET
Prior to that I was on v1.1.4322
The Launcher needs the .NET framework 3.5 or greater. Normally this is installed automatically with Windows Update.
Sent you two error reports back to back. Said "not sure" and "still not sure." As far as I know, my creaky old comp is up to date with Windows. Currently running XP w/ Serv. PK. 3.

P.S: Love the idea of the campaign. Will be great to see those commanders who love to throw men "once more into the breach" have to change their tune a bit. BTW, that would not be me. LOL.

Still unable to install launcher. Have sent several error reports. Also, have registered but seen no Federal Division with my name on it. Am currently thinking I must have the launcher installed before the Division with Name shows up. Please advise.

I found what was wrong, it was the apostrophe in your username causing an error when you tried to login. I'll do something to prevent this from happening again, for now I've sent you an email with a new account you can use.
So is there any secret to getting games to record? We've now played 4 today that have all failed to record using K or the option on the launcher's menu. Kester's been hosting, so I can't speak overly much to the issue, but we're following what we thought the process was supposed to be.
"The time for compromises is past, and we are now determined to maintain our position and make all who oppose us smell Southern powder, feel Southern steel."
Jefferson Davis, 1861
So he clicks "Game" -> "Record Game ..." in the Launcher, and what happens?
It should bring up a dialog asking which game it was, he selects the game and clicks OK.
Then it will bring up a dialog with the latest gamedb (k-dump) file, to which he clicks OK.
After that it's pretty straightforward.

Whoever sent the error report "hell if I know.", the error is that you need the .NET framework version 3.5 installed on your computer to run the Launcher. This is normally done by Windows Update, but if for some reason you don't have it, you can download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... laylang=en

Hi Garnier.
That was me, and thank you for the response. I should know better than to mess around with my windows features. I was messing with the settings earlier testing something out, and I forgot I turned off my netframework.
