Although it's been a while since I played that scenario, I don't recall any problems moving the arty closer to the action. Did you try restarting it to see if the problem is still there? It might be something didn't load correctly. They just wont budge, scenario 2.

Re: Moving Artillery
Yes, ive tried tens of times. Only some of the batteries move. They all limber up, wait a while, then unlimber and start firing again.
I can TC them and move them. If you get a chance, would you fire up that scenario, and see if you can move them forward to the fence at the river? Then let me know how you did it?
I've tried ordering by the courier menu, to my 'front center' and 'rear' when im at the fence.
I've tried TC'ing the commander, then clicking different combinations of no orders, hold fire, limber, the location, the formation
Ive tried that without TC'ing the commander.

Re: Moving Artillery
I had no problems moving my artillery via courier orders. Did you make sure that the Orders Time and Execution Time were the same?
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
Re: Moving Artillery
a few questions
- Did you click and use on screen buttons or did yo use the courier message screen
- What order did you give the coommands in?
- Do you TC the commander? If you TC the commander, then am i right in saying the courier message screen wont work?

1. No orders
2. Move your unit forward 300 yd.
I didn't TC the commander, there is no reason to unless you want to move him via the point and click method. Some courier orders do not work when a commander is TC'd. This has been fixed in the next patch.
If you are using the 'move to my rear center' command, be aware that your avatar on the field has an invisible box drawn around him based on the formation that his units are presently in. This box follows the commander wherever he goes. So in your case, a division leader, the box is pretty big. So if you use that order, the arty may not move very far. Better would be to 'move to my front center'. That will put the unit ~20-50 yd. in front of you. This is something you have to experiment with. The box has also been removed in the next patch.
Yes I used the courier screen. The order I used were:- Did you click and use on screen buttons or did yo use the courier message screen
