I had all mod disabled so it was the only other option.

Well maybe not the only option just the easiest one.

The cavalry scenarios.

The Gettysburg cavalry actions are usually ignored/neglected.

I have read a few books about them.

But now I get to play them.

Very educational.

And wonderful!

Well, I've discovered I have no future as a cavalry commander. That's good to know. :cheer:

Seriously, the three new maps are great, especially the Gettysburg map.

That's just a cursory glance. I'm sure as I continue to play, I'll find several hidden gems worth note.

Thanks gents!

The order on the map is the best feauture for me. The map should be a bit bigger though (full screen) - maybe that's possible sometime.

Didn’t see a huge FPS increase however, even with my new GPU, so not sure if the vegetation improvements made it in.
Yeah, I noticed that this was not mentioned in the list of improvements, so I am also not sure if it made it into the game at this stage.

can anyone confirm this? the one benchmark i have is a storm of lead and iron. at mission start i was getting 12-13 fps, still am post patch.

This map can probably be modded to appear bigger once the release of the SDk is out.

Considering that the Jump map and the Icons are moddable, I don’t see any reason that would prevent this map from appearing larger.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Perhaps having a zoom in feature for the maps? Either have the ability to click and drag for it too zoom in, or press key "Z", and click, hold to drag the map, or use arrow keys to scroll the map.

later!

We noticed that in testing that the fps increase will be bigger for some machines. JC got a huge FPS jump while I didn't get one at all. I guess it depends on the machine/graphics card.

more likely to help people with low end machines, or more likely to help those lucky few with already high end performance....
