Question about the Move map option.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Description: I have just been tinkering with the game, and when I pulled up the Move Map (N key), I could see that while pressing the CTRL, and clicking the mouse button a green star does show up as a waypoint, but the commander, and the men will not start moving toward the final waypoint.

Question: Am I suppose to be able to setup waypoints on the Move Map, and if so what am I doing wrong?

later!

To plot a route for a unit to take on the command map, hold down the ctrl key while clicking along the path you want the unit to take. Each time you click, a green star will appear on the map. For the final destination, release the ctrl key and click on the map. The unit will now follow the route you have given it.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I forgot to point out that this routing feature allows the player to make some great flanking maneuvers. Just keep the route out of enemy rifle range so the unit(s) does not stop to engage until it's final destination is reached. ;)

Thanks again for your help. Just for the record - my file didnt show the csv extension on the defaultkkeys file. Just said defaultkeys. I renamed it to defaultkeys.csv and it didnt work, so I took off the csv from the name and it worked.
Your quick replys are appreciated and I'm still tryin to get past #5 :) Havin fun tho

You have to change your setting in the Windows View Options to show the extensions of known file types. Then the .csv will show up as well as others like .exe.
