Could bandwidth throttling cause mp disconnect?

Hi.

I've been looking around to help XNS figure out what could be causing his excessive disconnects, and I have been readying how ISP's (ComCast in particular) will throttle users especially those who play MP games (among those who hog bandwidth via torrent software) which brought me to this question.

Can throttling be causing hangups in SOWgb?

Yes it certainly could, could do it to any game. If it's not too long, it will just pause the game until he gets back up.

Okay. I noticed when I was doing some reading that those ISP which do throttle their bandwidth usage will cap it temporarily between 100kbs - 150kbs, so I am wondering if it's possible for you to place a bandwidth cap in the game which would stop the ISP's from interfering? Wouldn't that give more stability as well?
