Toolbar \ Command Map - Question?

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Toolbar \ Command Map - Question?

Post by Davinci »

Hey, I have a couple of questions pertaining to the Toolbar \ Maps .

I want to add the Command Map to the Toolbar just like the M-Key map is designed.

Now is seems that the gscreens would control this, but I’m having a hard time trying to decipher how this is done.

Anybody – care to shed some light on this?

ADukes - can you tell me where are the coordinates for using the Toolbar \ Map button?

I mean what lines in the default gscreen show the coordinates?

Thanks,

OK, Thanks

Another Question - if this is only going to be on the Brigade Toolbar - do I have to edit anything in the gui file?

ADukes - OK, I got it to working, thanks for your help with this!

I was asking the question the wrong way, it was the gui file that I should have been concentrating on!

Basically, I wanted the Toolbar to stay the same, but if I hover the mouse over a certain spot the Command_Map could be displayed without having to press the N Key .

And to assign it only to the Officers, so as not to mess up the Infantry toolbar.

mikesla – it really wasn't intended as a mod, more or less a personal preference to avoid reaching for the keyboard.

I'm on the Linux System right now so I don't have access to the files, when I switch back over to Microsoft, I'll post the changes and if you want to make a mod out of it, I'll try to provide you with everything that I did.

Hi Davinci.

Only if it doesn't inconvenience you. I'm always interested in what you make.

Cheers Davinci.

Why would it inconvenience me, we all share information with each other on this forum.

I'll try to post it within a hour or two. After constantly reinstalling \ fixing Windows from several virus, I now use the Linux system to browse the Internet. This way I don't have to worry about a virus.
