What is it ?
Re: What is it ?
I would hate to micro-manage that many brigades!
Hey, what is the total amount of men that you have showing?

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Re: What is it ?
Looks like a FPS nightmare for my system.

Re: What is it ?
You're all right
This is a new scenario I'm currently doing, it involving the nearly complete July 2's oob (I just removed calvary) with 48000 men for Confederate and 68000 for the Union.
I expect to obtain a mp scenario too.
My main problem now is :
There is some troop where I cannot find what where their starting position on the July 2 (reserve artillerie for both side for example) I didn't want to make a very accurate scenario because I wish to let player move his troop.
The second one is that the scenario seems unbalanced : Union has 20k men more than Confederate, I can remove the sixth corps to balance scenario
If someone can help me on this 2 points I be gratefull.
And I make a video of my test it just amazing

Re: What is it ?
Chances are it's not completely known where the reserve artillery was setup at the time. I don't remember seeing it in Phil's atlas but I will check to make sure. If it's not known, you can set them up in an area where you think it makes the most sense. You're all right

As far as the balance, that sounds about right for that day of the battle.. Total union forces engaged for the three days were 93,921, Confederate 71,699.
Jim knows these OOBs inside and out so hopefully he can comment as well.
It's great to see another scenario designer.. Looks great so far, can't wait to try it out!

Re: What is it ?
Shouldn't be a problem leaving 6th corp out.For the most part they were held in reserve, only 242 casualties from over 14,000 present. Most of these were all from Newton's div. 6th corp were late to arrive and were deployed at the northern base of Little Round Top, and on the 2nd day were only used very little, when the Union counter-attacked across the valley of death.
Re: What is it ?
I replayed the scenario without 6th corp it was better but still unbalanced
I haved launched a massive attack on cemetery hill when I sto I had only 10k men left and the union had 16k with most of the 5th and the 12h corps nearly intact.
I think to remove the sharpshooter of 1th corps because they can annihilate one brigade by themselves.
I have register the whole battle on my disk I can share it but it's very long

Re: What is it ?
The Union Artillery Reserve was placed in the fields on the south side of Schoolhouse Rd between Taneytown Rd and Baltimore Pike. Batteries were dispatched from there to locations where Hunt decided they were needed.
The CS Artillery Reserve was not one unit but divided by Corps. Each Corps reserve would have been in the area of the Corps it was supporting. There was significant movement, especially of Longstreet's Corps so the locations depended on what time is picked to start the scenario.
