Location of Calvary and DH Hill scenarios?

Post by michaelincol »

Hello to all from new guy here. I had the Mad Minute games but back then was in a traveling/working frenzy trying to keep my high tech job, and never really learned them - mostly overwhelmed when I tried. Now I have time, and the lure of Norb's new game and the great atmosphere of this forum had me order the package and start playing - as I mentioned elsewhere, some with Sam, my 6 year old civil war nut, who loves it. Some alone working with tutorials, reading forums and getting overall layout of this wonderous 1860's time machine world.

In the forums, I am reading of calvary scenarios and also D H Hill ones and got the sense in what I read (maybe erroneously) that both would be in the "new patch?". I am running 1.2 and can't see them anywhere (main choice gettysburg or sandbox or etc. screen, user scenarios, sandbox). Do I have to download them somewhere? Thanks for any help getting established and my apologies if the question has been asked already.

Michael

Start SOW Gettysburg.....select single player.....then Gettysburg Scenario's....at the lower center of the Scenario's screen there should be an oval shaped box that says Cavalry Field Scenario's ....click on that and it will take you to the Cavalry Field screen :)

I'm not sure about any D.H. Hill scenario's - but there are some A.P. Hill carry-over scenario's found in the Modder's section of the forum that are available for download - created by our very own Little Powell ;)

Kindest Regards

The Mad One

I already have progressives to cover all angles - or lack thereof! I think I was just kinda star struck to be catapulted into the Civil War world. Getting my bearings. Friendly and active forums are a great combo to accompany this amazing game.

D.H.Hill wasn't at Gettysburg.

Yeah, D H Hill was in Richmond in charge of reserves or something. But it would make for a interesting alternative scenario i.e., Hill is called up via railroad a week before the battle, and on day three, attacks from the southern quarter.

I also know that Pickett had two additional---fairly large---brigades (Corse and Jenkins) which were serving detached service. Several fantasy scenarios are possible.

Sorry. I suffer from a serious case of typosis. Don't worry, it's not contagious :)
