Bull how did the game KG-Soldier made for you turn out ? I don't know anyone else that has had this problem . on a personal note, i know nothing about win7, but every game forum i check out i always see people complaining about the game not working and it always turns out to be win7 or one of the other horrible OS's that have come out since WinXP.

I have no issues with W7. The game sspoom and I tested with Bull ran fine, clock ran very smooth. I haven't played a single player game in about 8 months (at least), so I guess I'm used to the "hesitation" to which Bull refers.

No doubt sometimes we have a slow game, but that's almost always a player's computer having an issue. And those games usually crash.

Hi Beef - the game we tried out last night was "a bit" smoother than other mp games, but the micro-stutter was still evident. I'm well aware that there could be something out of whack with my system to cause this, and maybe not. But for me personally, it really cuts down on immersion and so I'd like to get to the bottom of it one way or the other.

And Soldier, Sspoom - I'd like to thank you guys again for your help last night. Hopefully i can sort this out and join you in your 7pm games soon.

MP can only run as fast as the slowest computer in the game. So no matter how good your rig is, if there is someone playing with a slower connection or slower computer, you are going to see it.

Hi Norb:

As I mentioned above, the person i play with most often has a slower computer than I do, but his game runs smoothy while mine is lagging. One thing I came to find out was that his upload speed is a about 8x faster than mine. Could a 60kb/sec upload cause me to see lag when i host? My download is 30mbit and ping is generally around 15ms.

I fear your use of the surrender key.
Wrath comes in many forms. An abrupt end to something you've gotten engrossed in may be considered, by some, to be a wrath of the sort that draws bitter complaints about being inconvinienced in a minor fashion.

Make a key and it shall be used. Alas!

When the game is over it really shouldn't matter, the dump function exists regardless. Barlow called it several minutes prior but didn't feel up to saying so in chat, I guess. If everyone is so hard up about scrounging for points then they ought to devise other means, I suppose. Otherwise I can't see as it matters.

Whatever. Bad form in my book no matter how you spin it.

Most of us only had time for one game, so the abrupt ending wasn't appreciated.
