R,
No you don't need a Mic right away. You can chat on teamspeak and in the MP game. Just remember, all the new guys are probably more talented then many CW Generals in real life. Crank up your Lads and get stuck in. NOW. Today. Right away. Are you there yet? Well, why not?

Re: Longer Sandbox Games
Sandbox games will end if one side reaches the failgrade. These are set in the scen_Army files for each side. They used to end a lot sooner but we doubled the fail grades for patch 1.2.
If you want, you can create a mod and adjust the failgrade levels so that Sandbox games will go on a lot longer. If you look in the SDK, you will see the Sandbox directory. In that directly are the two ini files; scen_Army1.ini for the Union, scen_Army2.ini for the Confederates. At the top of the ini files you will see:
[Init]
weather=2
lvl1grade=-4000
lvl2grade=-3000
lvl3grade=-2000
lvl4grade=-1500
lvl5grade=-1000
lvl6grade=-500
Those are the failgrades. If the top commander of the AI side reaches that fail grade, the scenario ends. So for example, if you were playing against Lee (he's lvl2) and the rebels reached -3000 points, the game ends with a Union victory. You can create a mod and make them even lower. -8000 for example will double the current levl1 grade, and so on. Hope I explained this clear enough.

Re: Longer Sandbox Games
Can we have it so that when a human player in MP reaches a failgrade, they get booted? :silly:

That helps, Little Powell, thank you! Now all I got to do is figure out how to use SDK

Re: Longer Sandbox Games
OK, well, apparently I don't think I had the 1.2 version. Think I had 1.102. Downloading it now, should see if that makes any difference.

Re: Longer Sandbox Games
Hi, I am Civil War buff- in Tampa,Fl.- there are some reenactors- I am not too excited about the Brooksville Raid- I would prefer large reenactments like Gettysburg or Shiloh- I like the Hornet's Nest from Shiloh where CS Gen. S. Johnson was mortally wounded- that's legend or anywhere Jeb Stuart rode and raided. Give me time on this multiplayer- I will do it for sure- maybe someday get a mic- do you really need one? Thanks for reply- :cheer:
