This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Very Nice! Are you going to post it as a mod?

Hey, how would you get this to work for you, would you have to in-case it into a 1024x1024 border?

Basically, would it have to be done roughly the same way that the JumpMaps are done?

On to a Related Note - which-ever modder had to figure out this file (i.e….gscreens I tip my hat to, this file has got to be the most confusing of all of them.

I would say yes looking at the POPUP_Courier.dds that RB created but he did some things to the gscreens file which I haven't figured out yet. But he can answer that better than I. All I know is his changes to the B&F mod now works for me. If I can be of help, let me know. Frustrating as it was I really enjoyed trying to figure it out. Beats working on my Little Big Horn mod. Hard to balance the game play... ;)

MY personal definition of modding is having the ability to spend eight hours trying to figure something out, only to spend nine hours putting the files back to their original state.

In my sleep deprivation delirium I failed to note the text extends past the window slightly. I assume the left justification is intentional. Also people will need to know there is no close box but the screen can be closed buy hitting ESC. Small issues...

Here is a screen shot:

HaH - Good One!

It took me several long hours to figure out how that file works, basically the coordinates used in the gscreens are the coordinates from the dds file.

Probably could \ should have read that from the manual, but these files are pretty logical, so if you stare at them long enough they start to make a lot of sense!

In my sleep deprivation delirium I failed to note the text extends past the window slightly. :
None of my messages are that long in Open Play – ( Sand_Box_Thing ) – I’m sure one of the coordinates control that - I just do not know which one at the moment!
I assume the left justification is intentional. :
Yes, the screen was designed to not block the screen as much as possible, but your screen shows a different format than mine – I’m using a 768x768 – yours is using 1024x1024.
Also people will need to know there is no close box but the screen can be closed buy hitting ESC. Small issues...
At the bottom and to the right of the scroll down button – there is a X on the screen – used to close the window!

Thanks – for the input \ testing – this mod still needs some work!

Edit Post to include this

The only line that I can see would be the following two:

Line 7 \ Column J - change the 660 to 650
Line 16 \ Column J - change the 660 to 650

This is how my screen looks!

OK, Changed the height of what I call the text box to 540; your Line 7/Column J and Line 16/Column J and that worked. Also I might fill the Close Box with something easier to see or put it in it's traditional position. I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't pointed it out. Otherwise I think you're in business. License it to RB for his B&F mod and retire to Maui or the Blue Ridge Mountains somewhere.

Subject for another topic:
How come most of the people here are Southern Boys? I'm born and raised in California but my father and his family are from Rocky Mount North Carolina. Makes me an honorary Son of the South in my mind.
