A Question about OOB's.

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

A Question about OOB's.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi, me again.

Man first off the OOB's just out right confused me. Anyway I am trying to create beginner oobs where beginners can command a very small Brigade, or Division so they can get a taste of being in command. Now my question is this, how many men does it take to hold a VP location(plus commander)?

Later potators!

Maplocations
Hmmm, okay I don't think I understand, but I'll make an attempt here. You are saying then that the locations on the map is the key in determining the men required to hold a vp location. So if I wished to edit the amount of men required, I would set the game into debug mode of some sort, get the vp locations, and then write these new values into the map .csv files?

My wondering mind requires another coffee...

No, the amount of men required to hold an OBJ is set in the maplocations.csv file in each Scenarios folder. I don't believe this can be set in Sandbox, but there may be a way to mod it. I'd have to look into it.

Hi.

Thanks for the file name.

You know having a way to extract all the information from a save game would really open this up, and allow folks to create their own scenario's on the fly, or is this impossible?

I'm sorry for being a real bother here guys but I would like to learn this stuff.
