Take it from a lower angle. If doubt persists, take a shot with the sun behind them so as to silhouette them :P

Always thoguh the trench picture was at Petersburg but I could be mistaken also I know where to find a neat picture

Excellent photo, what are those at the LHS of the picture? They look like the batteries when they are limbered that we see in gettysburg at the start of scenarios...or are they a wagon train?
