Anyone else here have a Dial up Connection?

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

I am looking to test out the new patch by having an MP game. I am interested in testing Dialup vs Dialup.

If someone here besides myself has dial up PM me, and we'll setup a MP game to do some testing.

Later.

You might be hard pressed on this one mikesla.

Maybe Parker could help you, he is using an old DOS system.

Oh well, you never know. What a great selling point to say that your game can play with Dial up, I mean I don't know any other current titles able to claim that the game can run in mp on DU. I know with earlier patches played very well, even when I was hosting a game (1v1). I wanted to test this with this patch to see if it would work or not....oh well. At least I have tried.

DOS? Why DOS? :)

I'm just joking around here mikesla. I'm just making a joke at Parkers expense. He was playing on an old system, but I think he recently got a new computer.

nope, my connection has long outstripped my hardware. Luckily ethernet connections haven't really changed in the last 8 years.

Smart. The only thing that's holding my system back is dialup. It just costs way to much for highspeed here (damn monopolies), Eastlink has me by the short hairs. Of course there is Bell Alliant, and they have switched their support over to India, so I'll never go with them. If the Bell Aliant won't support it's own country then to heck with them, they won't get my business (oops, I just poked myself in my sore spot). So either cough up $60.00 dollars per month, or stick with dialup. :(

Oh well...I shall see.
