Pipe Creek MP?

Post by A.S. Johnston »

Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Now that I've actually had a taste of MP games, solo play isn't as interesting as it was ... even though I don't have to walk home in the rain in solo. :silly:

Thirty-eight views and no reply. Not even, "Grow up, you ..." heh. Okay.

The Pipe Creek maps make for some fun MP games. You can hide forces on the reverse slopes of the hills etc. Also, the included MP scenarios are great fun. The OBJ's do not give points until 45 minutes in, giving each side plenty of time to wrestle over them before they are rewarded. :)

I think it's just because there's no argument there. Playing against another human being is always going to be more fun, and more satisfying than a computer. So much so that the lack of a MP option in a game is considered a serious defect.

Yes, sir, I'm looking forward to MP battles using PC. Say, I wonder, is there a possible mod to PC so as to emulate if not duplicate the situation given in the Gingrich/Forstchen series that starts with Gettysburg? Guess I'll have to look at the modding programs etc and see for myself, huh? ;)

@born2see: Really, I was asking if anyone has an organized - "show up at 7:30 pm CDT and bring your PC update and version 1.3" would be organized enough - MP tournament or something going on yet. I'm not real good at organizing stuff it seems, so I thought with all the talent in the group ... yes/no?? :)

Sounds like a very good solution for the early game rushing problem!
