Thanks, I stopped by and talked to the few remaining when I got there. I've checked the logs and it's not something obviously an out of sync or crash in the code. It appears to be that one player just got deluged with packets and it hung up his game for so long that he lost his connection to the server. What troubles me is that the server should just drop him and continue, but it didn't. It never got the notification that he had dropped.

So I'm going to try and put a cap on the number of packets I retrieve at once and hope that takes care of this issue at least.

Thanks guys for the logs. Glad that it gave Norb such a strong lead.

Sorry I couldn't make it last night (last minute plans).

I do plan to be there tonight however as Garnier said he'll be there as well.

Hopefully I'll get some time today to do some quick fixes for tonight.

Gotta make a dedicated server for a future release.
Now that would be a treat. 24 hour a day running server, even I would join in. Login, choose your side, choose the map (list of maps being played with amount of people playing each map), choose command level, and off you go...that would be really cool.

Oh well, I guess one can dream.

Later.

Putting it in the updater so we can use it right away. I'm assuming since it worked to just get the SOWGB.exe and SOWGB.SOW of the last patch, that the same could work here?

As in, you didn't change any other files that you know of.
Play Scourge of War Multiplayer! www.sowmp.com
Also try the singleplayer carryover campaign

Lots of problems with this version.

Had two different players crash out of the MP Select Screen when the host refreshed the Scenario.

Also had a player crash when loading the scenario.

Also had a bug that only kg_sspoom could see (this is something they would see before the first patch came out) where when someone would select a commander, their IP would disappear, then eventually he couldn't see the OOB. KG - Hopefully I explained that right, correct me if I'm wrong.

We reverted back to the previous beta patch (exe and sow file) and had a game that ran flawlessly.

There was also a huge 18 player battle that only lasted a few minutes and then crashed (I believe we were using the previous version). I can't seem to find the battle on the site though to direct you to the logs. Maybe Garnier can give more info.
