Concerning the use of mics, I have done everything under the Sun that I could find to get my mic to work using vista and haven't been successful. I haven't played in MP because of it,thinking that it would screw the game up for everyone else playing. Waited as long as I care to to ask. Does it cause a problem for everyone else or am I assuming a problem where there is none?

Mic is not required. Go ahead and fire up Teamspeak, you can type in the chat box. If no mic then install the "Team chat" feature. We have some players who don't use a mic very often.

I know you most likely tried this. Did you go into your "control panel > sound and audio device settings", and check whether you have selected the frontal microphone or rear, as vista recognizes them separately unlike windows Xp.

Anyway...

I finally got it to show that it's working, but even though the bars are moving it won't register in teamspeak.I had checked as to front and rear but no success, even plugged into both. Thanks for trying to help.My problem is, when something like that comes up I don't let go until it's solved.

I will join a game soon. Thank you.

I know this is going to really sound stupid so forgive me. Did you make sure that your control panel MIC volume is at it's max by chance? If you have the microphone in your settings turned down low, it will still show, but no sound...

I know, I am sorry for even suggesting this but it some times is the simpler things in life that can cause the worst nightmares.

Later.

I did.Know what you mean about the simple things. There's a reason why obvious and oblivious are so similar.

I'm the same way. Makes me good at my job but wears on my sanity. Anyway. This is another obvious question but have you gone to the Teamspeak site? I see others are having similar problems with their mics. I assume it works fine otherwise.

Hello boys,

I have some questions and I don't know if I should post here or not, but I think so.

1-Is there battle every day?

2-Is a big problem if I haven't very good english?

3-how long is a battle? I have read that begins at 19:00 east time + 1 hour for breafing and after....???
about 2 hours for example?

I live in Barcelona (europe ;) ) and I have +5 hours so I need to know the duration of the battle because I need to sleep

4-Could I chose between Union or Confederation?

Thank you for your answers.

Every day around 1900 est there is a battle, lately closer to 1930.

No problem with the poor English; we let Seal play.

Battles are 90 minutes.

Who needs sleep? There's war to be won.
