Problems with both Tree mods

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Problems with both Tree mods

Post by pcelt »

I have recently returned to SOW and decided to install a tree mod but found real problems with both which are on offer.

"Tree Mod by Jolly" looked excellent but Windows Live informed me the link was dead and to contact the file creator.

"Darker Trees by Garnier" also looked a very big improvement on the stock colour and I installed this successfully--but found that in game when close to the trees the foliage was in constant movement (shaking and almost vibrating and a constant distraction.)
So I have returned reluctantly to the rather too bright tree colouring and am wondering if others have noticed or overcome this "movement" problem. I am also wondering if "Jolly" has any other links to his mod.
Thanks for any help.

Little Powell--Many thanks for your swift and helpful response to my "cri de coeur"

Have now incorporated this mod---- I see from the accompanying text that the slight foliage movement is intentional breeze---much easier to live with and enjoy when you know the effect is intentional ;)
Thanks again.

i had noticed the trees shaking, but i thought it was supposed to simulate wind moving branches?

Con20or---I had first thought it some glitch but with the mod Little Powell indicated for me I noticed for the first time a readme in which an intended breeze was referred to so I am now happily accepting that explanation and expunging the idea of a glitch from my mind.
Thanks for your corroboration..
Cheers
