Balance forces

Has anyone ever had a sandbox battle where when making sure the forces were not balanced, they were the ones outnumbered?

It always seems to work in your favour from what Ive seen and am curious to know whats up.

Yes, a lot of the time, especially as I play the Union because by the time of gettysburg most COnfederate brigades and divisions could be anywhere from 2-3 times as big as their Union counterpart.
