Long time player of SoW and TC2M, but haven't played in a heck of a long time. The Rodes scenario is whooping my butt, but I'm loving it, If nothing else I'm laying a good beating on the Federals.
My biggest issue is kicking off the rust, and being able to pull of a crisp forward passage of lines, as I've been leaving the 2 brigades on the left to their own crazy devices, and attacking with Iverson and Daniel, with Ramseur in reserve. I can't seem to get beyond a draw/minor defeat, as by the time I've got the Federals cracking on the nearest objective, my inability to pull a brigade off the line in order to get some energy for the final push is killing me.
Regardless, it's a blast, stressful, and consuming.
I'm very interesting in multiplayer, if someone would care to show me the ropes. Mind you I don't have voice capability for the PC.
Fight On.

Off topic but are you really from Connecticut? If so I have competition for not being the only hardcore yankee on here.

Connecticuts8th,
Yeah. . . dude. . . come give multiplayer a try. Download the launcher and create your divisions:
http://www.sow.philipmcg.com/c/platte/p ... =view_home
And a lot of the players on Teamspeak only communicate by typing, so not having voice isn't a problem:

We form up in Teamspeak every evening between 7-8 est.
You won't regret it, MP is a blast.

Re: What a Blast
I signed up, created divisions, but for some reason when I try to join the lobbies in teamspeak I get an access denied, same as trying to post there. I was likely a little late to the party tonight, that might be why.Connecticuts8th,

As to Rodes, as soon as I mentioned how hard it was, I thrashed it. I stacked my brigades in a slightly overlapping echelon, and attacked the Federals from their left, with my successive brigades coming to keep up the battle as Daniel's attack began to roll them, with Ramseur as the fatal blow. Again, I let Doles and O'Neal roam around. Got my guns down on the line and into place just in time to meet the Iron Brigade.

Yeah, we had some jerks joining the channel a couple of weeks ago who were ranting racist stuff and in general being asshats, so Garnier made it so that someone who's already an admin (there are many) can set your permissions so you can get out of quarantine.
We had a 12 player battle earlier this evening.

Re: What a Blast
Sounds like a blast, though I'll probably be Nat Banks out there.
