Battle Music

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Hi, battle sounds being realistic are crucial to this game being any good- I love the sounds and support this game.It all adds up to a great game experience. I was wondering with the artillery mod sounds- version 2- with the whistling shells- is that realistic or more WWI artillery? Noble invented TNT prior to WWI which led to long range artillery. Who doesn't love explosions in a game? :woohoo:

How do you play Vice City as MP? I don't mean the mod, I'm talking about the gameplay.

B
Hey, well I just logged off the MP game, and you know I'm as bad with this game as I am with SOW. Damn...

The game is allot of fun to play in MP, it burns allot of calories I can tell you. I happen to comes across someone who kept dogging me on two occasions, and of course me being a total nit I died.

It's a blast playing because of having the use of vehicles, weapons, and just hunt anyone down who looks at you the wrong way can be a fun way to burn of some excess energy...

B, the person who was dogging me that wouldn't be you by any chance? If it is good kills, if not than I have a score to settle. :woohoo:

Final Note: If you have the game B, get the MP mod, it is allot of fun. It also depends on the server you are playing. Some are pure deathmatch, others are gangs against gangs, and etc. I prefer Deathmatch because it means I can shoot anyone, and it won't matter. I have attacked the gang I was with by mistake, and for some reason they didn't like it all that much.

Later.

Wait. When did we switch from Battle Music to Battle Sounds? I thought we were just talking music here?

Hi, I was talking about sound mods- is the whistling sound real to Civil War or not? I guess it's not important- mods are really neat ;)

Hi. Great to hear from ya!

Tell you the truth I have no idea if there was any incoming shell sound, but then again why wouldn't it sound like that going overhead...just sounds right to me.

In your earlier post you did hit on one thing the first half of that shell sound was stripped from a WWI game I have, The second half is from another game I have (explosion which still scares the crap out of me).

Have you tried out my New Arty Sounds yet? That is another mixture....very nice sounds there (I could be the only who thinks so).

Cheerio there rclark14. :)

Hello sir, I enjoy all mods- what is the game that scares you please I inquire? The arty sounds mod is great- that's why I wanted to do the Alexander barrages- because the sounds are so much fun- the Generals loved it during the war. They said the Confederate guns were inferior to the North in gun and shot. But they tried.

Hi.

If you are asking what scares me in SOW, it would be when you can hear the incoming shell approaching, then the explosion. You must have noticed how intense the sound is when the shell is coming directly toward you, then the bone shattering explosion...near sprung a leaked when I first heard it.

If you are asking what games scare me the most, well there are a couple, the first game is the Aliens Mod for Doom that still scares me to this day (installed on my system as I am typing this), the second would be Doom 3 (The best Music score made in my opinion), I just can't stomach it. I have played it twice, and I had enough. :woohoo:

I'm sure that some Generals would love the sound of incoming shell fire, and the sound cannons make when firing.

I think we should bring this thread back to it's original topic. I don't want to get anyone's knickers in a bunch over me hijacking this thread.

Cheers..

Since I started it, I don't care if it strayed somewhat. I'm still wondering if I can hear music of my choice from within the game. I don't think so.
