Active enough to buy ?

Hi to all generals !!

I'm an old TC2M player, that followed SoW devellopement, but was restricted by my old machine from buying it. Now i have a new rig, and i'm wondering if there's enough players online to make it worthwhile.

Is it much better than TC2M ?

If i try it online will i be waiting in a foyer for hours ?

LoL in any case that was just an ugly case for attention !! ... even though i really hope to play online.

The answers here will only determine how soon i'll get the game...heheh ... Because TC2M was so good a game in my book, that it is sure i'll buy it.

To Norb and the team ... better late than sorry. I hope you gents dont give up. I've always feel that TC2M was the best tactical game, ever ! If there's better i didnt try it. Cause i still play my monthly TC2M game. So i hope ... and i bet SoW will be the challenger to TC2M.

The MP regulars are better to comment, but there is a regular crowd that meets almost every night with weekends the busiest. They use Garnier's Campaign Mod found here:

You can also organize your own games here on the forum and I'm sure you'll get willing participants.

We have a good MP community. There is a regular game every night at about 7pm eastern. Weekends there will be more games. To find a game you will need to get on teamspeak. The lobby is not a good place to find a game. Honestly, to play MP you need to get to know the guys on ts. There are small groups of players who never go through the lobby to get games.

If you have played TC2M then you already know that SOW is going to be a good game and worth buying.


The MP community is still growing and we always are welcoming to new players.

At some point, I think we will see campaign type games, but that is not happening now.

Hey Ugly and Hasty.

A couple of us KG fellows (me and sspoom) play in the evening game almost every night. SOW MP is fantastic. We usually have at least 8 players, sometimes as many as 16. The games are great and we have a mod we use which lets you use the same divisions (Union or Confederate) for every game with carryover stats and such: http://www.sow.philipmcg.com/c/platte/p ... =view_home
