My New Map (Fictional) WIP Pics!!!

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

My New Map (Fictional) WIP Pics!!!

Post by 2nd Texas Infantry »

2nd Texas here Y'all. I am posting some pics of my new fictional map that is nearing completion. It is a small size map that was rendered from a USGS Arkansas area heightfield but scaled slightly for my purposes. The map is heavily wooded, but interspersed by various types of grass fields and crops. This map will include the following: All new Trees,Grass, and Crops. Most of the new terrain was designed to be indicative of the terrain in the Deep South. Trees with Spanish Moss, cotton fields, etc. I hope you enjoy these pics, and I am always anxious to get feed back. Tread lightly if you are a no-acount Blue Belly. - 2nd Texas

Damn, I’m not sure that we have the same game; my maps are not looking any-where near that good!

This Guy is the fast learner of the team!

Great Pictures 2nd_Texas – that large decaying tree is awesome.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Hey I just need some of those Reb Bugler western theater flags to add. My next project will be Pleasant Hill Louisiana, April 9th, 1864. I need some of of those western "Taylor Flags" for that release. I restored a couple of them and can send them to you in a couple of weeks. I know you are busy, but I wanted to give you a heads up. Brig. Gen. T. Churchill's Arkansas troops received new 2nd national flags shortly before the battle. I have a restored a version that was captured weeks later at Jenkins Ferry that I can send you. If you are tired of eastern battle flags.

Calm down there Billy Yank! I look forward to sending a couple rounds into ya. Just show me your best move. (Your Back). Down South we call that crawfishing. Up North they just call it walking. I eagerly await you in mortal combat....on my new map!

Yeah, I can find time for a few flags. Been developing some 8 frame versions, a lot faster to make, and the quality doesn't drop too much, I don't think. Ya gotta have an OOB though...or flags will be left hanging...
