Finally finished downloading, and playing my first OOB.

Many thanks for the conversion, it certainly is worth the 8 hours for the download.

Anyone else notice how deadly the cannon are? My men were being mowed down by canister, and it took me a bit to figure out where it was coming from. The enemy cannon were in a small gully (Mac Map), and I was way to far for them to switch to canister. Just nasty, if you see cannon RUN!

I have also noticed while googling over how really cool the graphics are, I began to notice units disappearing then a few ticks later they would popped back in.

Great Conversion.

You should look into one of those wireless broadband cards. My dad lives out in the country and uses one and it's pretty fast and reliable. Definitely better than dial-up. I don't think it's too expensive either, but I could be wrong.

Anything is better than dialup. Carrier pigeons would be quicker than a dialup. :)

The game engine removes units from view once the flag carrier has disappeared far off the screen. Due to the size of the units compared to ACW you will notice them 'disappearing' more often.

Thanks Gunship24. I only found it curious, it didn't do anything to the game play at all.

Beautiful piece of work there Gunship24, very nice.

This is too bloody cool. I had my men setup, and waiting for the enemy to finally decide on what it was going to do, and all of a sudden my men protecting my right flank hit the dirt. The enemy cannon were beginning to fire. As I watched my men being bombarded, and seeing the smoke coming from the shell hits on the ground I watched as the cannon gradually zeroed in (very cool to watch as you see them adjusting their sights after each volley), and shells hit right on top of my men, and I watched bodies lift off the ground, and pile up into a heap, now that is something I did not expect to see in this game.

Keep it coming Gunship24...
