Coming in 2012 – Union and Confederate Sprite Packs

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

My thinking is the officer sprites shouldn’t increase the memory too much!! : whistle: I do remember Norbs post I read it a while back. I guess with the higher ratio of sprites I think its 1 sprite representing 4 men memory is going to take a hit.
If I remember correctly Norb’s post about the memory requirements pertaining to the uniforms, etc… were before someone on the board posted about a Windows Setting that Norb could use in the game.

In the previous game no-one could use more than 1.9 GB of ram before the game would crash.

The fix mentioned above removed this memory barrier, so it now depends on the user’s Computer’s Memory.

Or, that’s how I remembered it!

*** I will add that I have never seen my memory go above the 2.0 GB, while playing this game.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Yeah I have a rather beefy rig and I have personally not experienced any crashes - even on the scenario's highlighted by Norb and co - having said that, obviously there are guys out there who will have lower powered machines that may have issues

Yeah good thanks - Im actually looking at your fort fisher project as you recommended maybe using Gunships sprites for TC2M and SOW (with proper acknowlegements of course!) - As for Sarge we'll have to keep him pinned down so he doesnt hit the ceiling, I know he likes his cavalry -

It was done for TC2M - I think Crikey did the map - Gunship the Unit sprites including some very cool officer sprites!
