i've been tring to get Army3 to work in sandbox, is this even possible.

As far as I know, this has never been possible with this game, or the previous game. The game will not accept more than two armies.

Davinci is right. Tried the other day for a generous amount of time to get a 3rd. Army in an OOB to run - No Joy.

You can actually have 4 different armies, but only two sides. 2 Armies on each side.

Really! :woohoo: How does that work LP? - I ask because in particular for the western theatre different armies and departments converged for major campaigns and that could be useful for future OOBs

If you open an OOB, notice column E is Side for the Side commander. Next in column F you will see Army. So you can make an overall Side commander, then make two Armies under his command. This is already done in the Gettysburg Day 2 OOB.
