The game ran smoothly with no hiccups. The thing here is that Jimcrazy8 only had the demo version of SOW, and of course we played the Kansas map, but with that said there were no pauses to speak of, no lag, and best of all we won the battle. I do hope that Jimcrazy8 does purchase the game because he will be a very good addition to the Multiplayer community (like all of you are).
Yes, even for you folks who have a dial up connection, you too can host (small) battles online, and take part (if you are not hosting) in much larger battles since I have already played a battle a few months back with 8 players in total with very little lag, and I also have to mention that the battle with 8 players was with a much earlier patched version of the game... Obviously Norb is an absolute genius when it comes to code.
I also have given up on trying to find someone else who has a dialup connection. It appears I am one of the old timers left in this world, or I'm just too cheap  , either way I have dialup.
Time to try out GCM, I have always wanted to take part in that.
