WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

Hey LP,

Tired.. .... They had a week off to prepare while the Giants had to play Atlanta.

It seems that GB was definitely out of synch with those dropped passes, but you gotta give the Giants defense some credit, they have been playing very good since beating the Jets, Dallas, Atlanta and now Packers... ;)

Now in 2007, the Giants beat them in the Super Bowl, both teams had a week off to rest and again, the Giants had to beat Tampa Bay in the Wild Card, the Cowboys in the Divisional game and the Packers,in Green Bay 25 degrees below zero in the NFC Championship game... Still you have to give the Giants some more credit... ;)

It's like in Hockey, if you have a HOT goalie, you will go very deep into the playoffs and the Giants are just HOT now, injured players are back....

:-D

I don't know how much credit I would give the Giants. Honestly neither team played that well, the Giants were good at times, the Packers with 2 exceptions were more or less terrible the whole game.
Rodgers should have played at least a half week 17, I don't like he basically went 3 weeks between starts.

That said we were playing with fire all year. We had one of the best offenses in the history of the game (really just passing game) and it somehow overcame our terrible defense. The defense has been to focused on turnovers for about 5 years now, that players get themselves out of position and miss tackles because their always trying to force a turnover rather than stick to the fundamentals. The Giants first TD only happened because of a blown tackle where the defender tried to strip the ball and bounced off the Giants WR. It worked ok for a few years but there isn't the talent there to play such high risk defense and be successful. I know they were 15-1 but that defense needs to be completely overhauled in the off season.

This year reminded me of the 2002-2004 Packers teams which had amazing offenses (Great running game and Passing game, though they did commit more turnovers) but the defense continually let them down. We can't waste Rodgers career with a sub par defense and a stellar offense. We need to make changes on defense now and get a good defense behind this legendary receiving corps while we still have it.
