Trouble seeing names of places on Pike creek

I wish I could see the names of places on the Pike creek maps. I tried the textured mini maps and it helps some, but I can't see anything. It is just not as immersive without a map with named places you can learn to direct orders with. Is there a way a mod could change this to how the GB map looks? Great maps though, I just brought antietam as well.

If you open up the Maps folder in your game, you will see files named ending in MM.dds.

Those are the minimaps you see in the game. If you are familiar with the locations you want to see on the map, all you would have to do is open the dds's in your favorite graphic edit program and place the names where you want them. If you are happy with your work, you can share it with the rest of and then you have officially become a modder.
