Valverde Map - Released

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Thanks Zeke.

Where do I put these files? (I've had a quick look around my folders, but thought best to ask ...)

I placed Zeke's OOB files into a mod called Zeke's OOB Mod .

Download to the Desktop \ Extract \ then place the file into your Mods Folder.

Activate the Mod to play the OOBs.

I've just started to play a sandbox game with Zeke's Valverde Historical OOB, playing a Div game and choosing a Division commander. I have about 660 men at the start and 2 of the three objectives each need more troops than that to score points.

Can I change the number of soldiers needed to trigger possession of an objective?

Thanks for any advice,

No, that is in the code. The number of men required for each level was lowered in a recent patch, but it may still be kind of high for small OOBs.

Their might be some way to flag the settings in the sandbox ini files, but Norb would have to comment on that.

Little Powell's right - This is quite a small OOB - the numbers involved were about around 3000 on each side at Valverde - I created this OOB for the older game TC2M due to the size of the force I decided to take the OOB down to company level (i.e regiment = 2/3 companies) so best played as a army commander rather than at divisional level for this OOB.

I'm actually doing the same for a Brandy Station OOB on the TC2M site at the moment - I've broken that battle down to company level - a lot of research(2 years worth!)However this now means that I now have the most complete Order of Battle ever done for Brandy Station inc all the company commanders.....

Regiment = 1/2 companies or a squadron of Cavalry
Brigade = Regiment
Division = Brigade
Corps = Division

I'll probably release over here as well eventually - I know it sounds a bit mad :silly: but works quite well for cavalry - Infantry gets a bit confusing though - I tried it out with a Big Bethel OOB and it was not great - but fun trying! :blink:

Having said that now we have 1/1 scale for this game not sure company level is required dont forget TC2M worked on a 1/10 scale this meant the the smaller battles were harder to represent in terms of scale.

The valverde OOB does not work with 1.5- I have tried deactivating it & reactivating it, but without luck. :unsure: :unsure:
