Waterloo and Austerlitz

Post by Flanyboy »

I just dug out and installed Waterloo Napoleon's Last Battle and Austerlitz Napoleon's Greatest Victory and while it runs on my quad core Windows 7 it's not playable because it runs to fast. Does anyone know how to get these great old games to run on a newer computer?

Yeah I do...

One sec while I grab the utility.

Turbo - Turbo is a free Windows slowdown utility that lets you slow down your CPU in resource hunks/percentages. It's free, and works pretty well, but lacks many of the advanced features found in shareware Windows slowdown products, like CPUKiller. Turbo works under win XP although not that accurate. there are others but this one is the one I use, and it works very well.

Main Website for slowdown utils: http://www.sierrahelp.com/Utilities/Slo ... ities.html then pick your poison or download the util below which I am more familiar with which is called Turbo. I have used slomo, and others out there but I personally like Turbo, it's easy to use.

Just unzip the file anywhere, and start Turbo.exe. Then enter the percentage of speed you wish to reduce your computer by, then start your game. If this doesn't work for you then visit the main website above, and choose another util.
