Courier play

Post by con20or »

There really seems to be an explosion in the number of people playing couriers of late - which is great to see.

I would be curious to see how many of you are now playing with couriers.

Couriers - are the only way to play, this is one of the best features in this game.

Couriers is only one aspect of the games unique features. HITS is another, and brings an entirely new dimension to the game, making it feel like you're in an FPS, yet an RTS is going on around you. My interest in the game has been completely refreshed and renewed since I began playing HITS with a plyrradius=2 setting.

You never get bored of fighting over the same battle maps, because you never see enough of them!
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.

Our kriegsspiel group has been growing well since the new year, and we have players on both sides of the Atlantic. There are about 25 in the group, of whom about 2/3rds are 'active' in MP. I know several of the others have been waiting for the stability to improve before fully jumping-in, so with the latest promising developments, I am hopeful they will now do so.

Everyone in the group is very appreciative of the efforts that Norb & the team have been making to get things right.

We now have regular games starting at 7.30 pm GMT on weekday evenings. We play with both HITS and couriers in all our games, as we are looking for a historical experience of command. Our games also use a chain of command - depending on numbers available we may have human players at up to 3 levels of command. We are open to use any of the maps, and our games often feature manoeuvre as well as battle. Our games are played in a friendly (and often humorous) spirit.

All are welcome to join us by the way, so if this sounds like your thing, send me a private message and we'll take things from there.

I'd have stopped playing long ago if HITS and Couriers did not exist.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I would have stopped playing long ago if Couriers and HITS is all that existed.

That's the beauty of our game.. Many options to suit everyone's interests. :)
