Search Mods for Sound

[Damned Black Hat]

I'm currently working on better artillery sound effects using audio from live-fired guns. I haven't been able to find sound effects for incoming shells that I'm happy with yet, though.

reenacted many years in a few societys and have seen variously;
apostles blow up.
many broken bones in pike presses.
one broken neck in a pike press.
casualtys from cannon fire because of bad wadding.
and too many cuts from allsorts of edged weapons.

Good God man! I guess "Push of Pike and Dint of Butt" really CAN be dangerous. I managed to even shoot myself in the face with my own musket. Made the classic mistake of opening the hammer, removing the cap BEFORE I poured the fresh charge down the barrel. FHOOM! Had to be airlifted to Fort Belvior, the by anbulance to Walter Reed so they could pick unburnt powder out of my eye. Only lost a tiny percentage of sight, so bonus there.

did end up in hospital with 4 fingers hanging off in an armoured gauntlet which they had to cut off.
id been run over by a horse carrying a fully armoured knight at the same time which got me 5 broken ribs, (it was his axe that cut my fingers!) and the hospital staff wanted to cut off my knee length mail hauberk.
it had taken me more hours than i care to think of to make the damn thing so i wouldnt let them. somehow managed to take it off,then i passed out. came to as they were stitching my fingers back on only to look round at the other beds in the ward and see they were full of vikings and saxons,armour and shelds lying everywhere and the hospital staff trying helmets on and laughing their heads off!
'beats stitching up saturday night drunks!' sez a doctor to me.
