All New NSD Music Corner

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

Ok, here's another one that's a bit different - from the 'Master and Commander' movie. That movie gets better and better every time I see it and the soundtrack is incredible.

That was a great film.
Paul Bettany made it for me with his portrayal of the scientist/doctor/intuitive thinker/musician.
The self surgery on the beach was fun
back to the music....
Seen these folks live a few times in my life over the years, but this one song always remains the same with time.

Ok might as well throw this in while they get a mention.

The movie is good, the books are OK. I'm a Hornblower fan, myself.

I do love that line when they're at the Captains mess and he tells the joke about the "Lesser of two weevils"

I love Hornblower, some of my favourite books of all time. Patrick O Brian is good too, but Hornblower is incredible. i would suggest starting up a 'book corner' but posting a link to a book isn't quite the same as a youtube vid :)

Weevils : Aubrey's poor sense of humour is legendary throughout the books :cheer:

Some great music there guys - thanks for posting.

Ok, this one is a bit unfair, but just in case anyone on the site has NEVER seen Ken Burns documentary on the civil war and heard Ashokan Farewell by jay Ungar here it is.

I was a bit dissapointed to find out it wasn't actually a civil war song, but written much later and is about a town that was flooded to make a reservoir. Still, a real beauty. ACW images and all!
