Will the new Chancellorsville expansion game be available for sale before Christmas?

Post by conjotter »

Hi Norb et al.

Can someone in the know please answer whether the new Chancellorsville expansion game will be available for purchase before Christmas, and how much it will sell for?

If an exact date isn't available, perhaps you could let us know if it will be before the end of this month, or October, or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

Chancellorsville wasn't a single battle, but a campaign over a few days on different battlefields.

So I think ...

The new release will be a campaign with linked battles.

Just thinking. And hoping.

Hi Rudy ... I agree. The campaign is full of many smaller, interesting individual battles that should mean lots of good historical and what-if? scenarios aside from Jackson's famous flank attack.

There is the first-day clash involving Sykes' division of regulars, Sedgwick's attack at Salem Church and withdrawal, and the withering battle over Hazel's Grove. Many top Union units were never engaged at Chancellorsville.

And depending on the scale of the maps, it could include the Battle of Fredericksburg and maybe even battle of the Wilderness scenarios. It should also be noted that at this point in war the Unions troops were pretty damned good, although many of their commanders were not.

Should be a great release. Whenever it happens.
