Glad you're making these BIG maps possible D. Looking forward to hearing how they play for the MP crowd. One of these days I'll lay some scenarios on them, too busy right now with our next release, due late this summer. Texas John is working his butt off...with fantastic maps coming soon in addition to the official release.
You map guys don't get near the appreciation you deserve, IMO, sure, you do it for the artistic fulfillment and worth, but the mundane part of laying miles and miles of fences and other objects is unbelievable, and inconceivable to most folks.

The map was coming along pretty good, but my Computer quit working roughly six-seven weeks ago, so that’s the not-so-good-part of the answer.
I’m fairly certain that I haven’t lost any of the files that are contained on either of the HDD , but that’s about as far as I have gotten with fixing the problem.
I’m hoping that it isn’t the Motherboard , but it’s sort of leaning in that direction.
Thanks, for the response back on this project, it was looking very good up-until-seven weeks ago!

Brief Summary:
I sent nine brigades towards location 9 and then detached two-brigades to cover the road leading to location 2 while the remaining seven brigades continued towards location 1 .
This is where I ran into the enemy units marching north. I placed five brigades into the battle, keeping two brigades in reserve.
Once the battle line was in position, I sent several couriers from location 9 to location 8 , instructing two brigades to march to location 3 , and one brigade to cover the road at location 4 .
This would prevent me from getting flanked by the second union division that I have not located!
The three brigades ran into the unit units at \ near location 5 , which prevented them from reinforcing my units farther south. I was somewhat surprised that they marched that-far north without being detected.
So, another courier was sent to location 8 to have an additional brigade move to location 7 to extend their battle-line.
At the right of location 6 the small shades of brown indicates that there are more enemy units that are out of sight of any of my troop. I think that it displays like that from editing the map icons file, but that’s just a guess.
Conclusion – I’m wondering if it would be possible to release a Beta-Version of this map while I’m still in the process of finishing it.
It appears to be working, but I’m not One-Hundred-Percent sure, considering that it does add in a lot of different coordinates into the game. Also, it is quite demanding such as bringing the FPS down a great deal when moving large numbers of troops. There are roughly six-hundred-structures, and three-thousand fences in the map.
If a beta can be released, would anyone care to experiment with this?

Please do release it. It will at least be a way to see if other people are actually interested in playing the huge map.

I will test it! B) The maps being too small I felt has limited the game some. The bigger the better!
