New Multiplayer Campaign
New Multiplayer Campaign
I am working up a new multiplayer campaign. Right now, we're hammering out the rule set on the KS forums. I am soliciting scenario designers.
Features of the campaign will include:
-Personal brigades
-Dynamic stats
-Fog of war
-HITS and Couriers gameplay
-A "war archive" detailing notable accomplishments
-Rank promotions
Consider playing the game with a larger, strategic objective in mind. Rather than individual battles, you will participate in a chain of unscripted, non-linear battles with carryover results as well as equipment upgrades and occasional reinforcements.
The overall goal is to provide the most realistic, and "non-gamey" experience within the context of a dynamic campaign.
As stated above, we're hammering out the ruleset, once that is done, we will need corps, division, and brigade commanders. For now, we envision a single division to a side (corp commanders are there to facilitate strategic movement). New divisions will be added if enough new players join.
Division commanders will be expected to write orders and AARs, to give you a sense of what kind of experience we're working on. The brigade commander experience will be as casual or immersive as you wish it to be.
Updates to follow!

I thought the KS forum was disbanded or is it something else I'm thinking of?
If I am wrong I apologize.

Re: New Multiplayer Campaign
I've never played online but I would try it out for this!
Re: New Multiplayer Campaign
We're working up the map now, and the rule set seems to be mostly in place. By the end of this week, we should have something concrete to show as we move from concept to reality.
The hardest part will be custom building of most of the scenarios; I'm still looking for a comprehensive start-to-finish step-by-step guide. Once we have scenario creation in the bag, the campaign will move right along.
I'll be opening sign-ups in about a week.
While much of the campaign will be managed by hand, I expect to see a little more automation of various processes, such as stats-keeping, as new tools come available. Regardless of the work, it's going to be gosh darn fun!

Leffe7's guide on the KS forum is all you need. I linked you to this a while ago.The hardest part will be custom building of most of the scenarios; I'm still looking for a comprehensive start-to-finish step-by-step guide.
