Ok, so are there any plans to upgrade the existing SOW Gettysburg and Add-Ons with the "enhanced water" graphic?

What else on the changelog list is just a misunderstandin'?

From upstairs:

"The original text for the 1.5 patch was written expecting it would be released with CV to which does use the water upgrade. When the deal with MG was finalized, CV got held up but the 1.5 patch was released by MG to go along with the release of the previous games. As this was the first time that NSD and MG were working together on a release there was less than perfect communication between the two groups. The result was that some of the text was posted with minimal review and some additional edits are in process.

By historical precedent, we almost never go back and upgrade features on previous releases. We would rather spend the time on making the next release that much better using the very limited development resources that we have."

Thanks RebBugler.

I hope most people won't get too het up about something like this in the FREE patch. ;)

As many have pointed out, there are lots of improvements in the patch.

The improved water can be seen in Matt's Secessionville map and in the upcoming CV maps. We did not change any earlier maps.

That's curious because on the Mac map, for the first time ever, I noticed the brown water surface showing up in the creeks near the Almshouses. They have always been 'dry' brown ditches before 1.5.
