SOW Chancellorsville Trees?

Post by ColdMace833 »

I recently downloaded and installed SOW Chancellorsville from Matrix Games and it installed into SOW Gettysburg. I notice that on the Chancellorsville map there are almost no trees. On the ground there is soil that it is used for trees and when a unit occupies it the unit interface indicates there are trees. I tweaked the settings and no change at all. Also there are many trees as usual on my Gettysburg and Antietam maps. Is this how the Chancellorsville map was designed or is there something wrong.

There is something wrong as these maps are the most densely forested maps NSD have yet made.

You didn't acidentally hit your T key a couple of times did you? Try hitting it again a couple times more.

Tried that and it only affects bodies and does nothing for trees. What are the default settings? Perhaps I should set it to those, but when I click on default settings nothing happens even if I changed stuff.

You can click the button to reset to default. Although if you have your trees set to 100%, you should see LOTS of trees. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Hit the F4 key in-game and the screenshot will be in Work/Screenshots.

Nope your forums are not working. I upload the screen shots and it click on submit in the reply and it does not go through. Only one time it did but no files showed up. Here is a list of my some relevant settings and clicking on default doesn't change anything so I don't know whats correct.

Percent Trees Showing: 100
Display Off-Map Trees: Checked
Map Transparency
Draw Distance: 200 (I put this to 1 and 1000 and not changes)

Map Terrain Draw Distance: High
Show Map Objects : High
Show Off Map Terrain : Not Checked
Map Number Atty-Hit Decals:40
Map Unit Draw Distance: 2000
Map Trees Draw Distance: 1200
Map Objects Draw Distance 2000

Two things could be happening, and before you upload screenies, you have to make sure that they are supported on this forum.

#1: First is file type. This forum does not support .BMP file extensions (I could be wrong, things keep changing).

#2: File size (keep screenshots under 500kb. Most screenshots can easily be kept under 500kb).

Suggestion: Upload screenies with the extension .jpg, .png, .gif, and not .bmp

I'm going to upload as png (360kb) to see if it works or not. If it works then it's on your end.

The attachment Capture_2012-11-11.PNG is no longer available
Works for me.
