OOB Problem in C'ville

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

OOB Problem in C'ville

Post by pcelt »

I have found that Union Gibbons Div in Ch'ville sandbox option has no artillery commanders in actual game -just 6 individual batteries looking sad and lost.

I just looked at the OOB and don't see any issues with the batteries. The commanders are Capt William A Arnold, and Lt T Fred Brown. Can you reproduce this every time? Perhaps a screenshot or save?

Commanders are listed in pre-game OOB --but once selected in a Div sandbox game they are not present in the actual encounter ---just 6 leaderless batteries. Also looking at Gibbons Div OOB in the actual game no artillery commanders are listed.
I have repeated this situation and with different maps several times and there are never any artillery coammanders.

pcelt,

I loaded up a Sandbox game, CV North map, Division vs Division and here are the pictures of both commanders of the batteries.. Not sure why you are not seeing them.

Thanks both for your responses.
Certainly seems to be something flawed with my Gibbon OOB. With any div sandbox battle featuring Gibbon I get no arty commanders and just 6 individual batteries in the actual game.
I have seen no such issues in any other sandbox battle.
I am wondering wherher anyone could send me a copy of their Ch'ville sandbox OOB to install to replace mine which seems flawed re Gibbons Division,
Thanks

Maybe reinstalling CV would fix it?

You did have the game patched to v1.5 before adding CV?

Did you try it with the CV Extras SB OOB? Surly both couldn't be corrupt.

Oops, the problem is with the CV Extras OOB, er, OOBs, all three. The OOBs went through extensive changes, it was my duty to keep up with the changes with my extras...please report any other misses, I'll get them fixed and available as soon as I see your post. Apologies for the inconvenience, thanks for locating this bug of mine.

Please unzip the following attachment into the CV Extras/OOBs folder, overwrite previous files.
The attachment CV_EX_OOBs.zip is no longer available

RB I really am mystified now. After I read your first comment, i went back to the game. I had, throughout been using your Desaturated Less US Mod and so I clicked back to the original pre extras OOB and that functioned correctly. I then again tried your Desat and Desat Less versions and they both now worked correctly------before I even saw your second comment and corrective zip------Why?, how? .I am totally mystified by computer tricks--are they already ruling the world and just pretending we have control...............
Should I still use your overwrite though Gibbon Div now appears to be functioning correctly with the Desat mods
Thanks

All I know is that I found errors in my extras OOBs in reference to Gibbons' division...they are now corrected with the attached zip. Regarding the desat mods, they are totally graphics files, so are not relative to the zipped csv files. I don't know why the error-ed files are working now, but I recommend the fixed ones. You call them mysteries, I call them HAUNTINGS, damned computers,
can't live with them, can't live without them. :woohoo:
